Back to the Cash

I originally started this entry a week ago (damn I need to keep up with this).  I decided to go back to the cash games and mix it up a little.  It seems like I need a change from time to time, plus the sit-n-goes have run cold.  I finally stopped the bleeding in the sit-n-goes, but I just seem to go up and down.  I just don’t feel like I’m making any progress.  Maybe the change will help.  The cash games have been refreshing.  I’m playing primarily at Cake which gives me the opportunity to earn a little rakeback at the same time.  They recently added resizeable tables which is a great improvement, and according to their support team, preferred seat selection is right around the corner.  With the exception of one session, all my nights have been winners.  Sometimes it’s just a buck or two, but at least it’s positive.  Last night was a lesson in tilt control that I need to burn into my memory banks.  I started the night going down two full buy-ins after having both AA and QQ cracked for huge losses.  Normally this would have had me cussing up a storm.  Admittedly, this is a leak in my game that I’m trying to fix.  I’ve had many nights where I’ll blow off more money after taking a couple bad beats.  However, this time it was different (and I’m not really sure why).  I took the losses in stride and opened up a couple more tables.  Those two tables were quickly profitable, and I proceeded to win back all my losses, plus some.  I need to remember that one hand does not make a game, and one game does not make a night.  My worst enemy at the table is usually ME.
